Iqva Institute of Life Science needed a structured digital learning and assessment platform for students, faculty, managers, and administrators. The platform had to support course enrolment, batch-based learning, study material access, faculty-led session progression, secure online exams, proctoring controls, and real-time academic visibility. Maveristic built and hardened the LMS into a production-grade system on Base44 — connecting learning, assessments, access control, and operational workflows into one unified platform.
The platform was not just a course catalogue. It needed to behave like a controlled academic system. Students should see only their assigned courses, exams, and study materials. Faculty should access only their teaching responsibilities. Managers and admins needed visibility across students, batches, courses, and exam workflows. At the same time, assessment security had to be strengthened so students could not directly access question banks, create attempts, or manipulate exam progress from the browser.
Separate dashboards and guarded routes for students, faculty, managers, and administrators, powered by LMS-level UserProfile roles instead of platform roles.
Course, module, chapter, batch, session, and study material hierarchy with access controlled by enrolment and taught-session progression.
Backend-controlled exam question access, attempt progress updates, submission flow, tab monitoring, fullscreen requirements, webcam settings, warnings, and attempt limits.
Student learning access resolves through a secure backend function, ensuring enrolled courses, exams, and study materials remain visible even when client-side entity reads are unreliable.
The biggest achievement was not simply building screens. It was hardening the platform's access model. We moved critical identity and learning-access decisions away from fragile browser-side checks and into backend-controlled resolvers. Student role resolution, enrolment linkage, exam access, study material visibility, and protected assessment workflows were aligned into a safer production architecture.
The exam workflow was hardened so students no longer directly read question banks, create exam attempts, or update attempt progress from the frontend. Critical exam actions were routed through backend functions that verify the authenticated student, active enrolment, exam status, attempt validity, and ownership before returning or updating any data.

During production hardening, student login and role resolution were corrected, but the learning-access chain also had to be stabilized. Existing enrolments, course mappings, exams, and study materials were preserved. Maveristic repaired stale enrolment-auth links and introduced a backend student learning resolver that returns only the authenticated student's own learning data.
"A production LMS is not only about showing courses. It is about making sure the right learner sees the right content, the right faculty sees the right sessions, and the right exam data is protected at every step."

The LMS originally relied heavily on client-side entity reads and role checks. Maveristic introduced backend resolver functions that authenticate the current user, resolve their LMS profile, verify role and status, and then return only the data they are allowed to see.

IILS now has a more secure and production-ready learning platform with clear role separation, protected exam workflows, restored student learning access, and a scalable backend pattern for future LMS features.
